Dr. Michele Harris
Dr. Harris completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at North Georgia College in 1992 and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She has been practicing small animal medicine with a strong focus on preventative care and client education ever since.
Dr. Harris is passionate about preventative medicine, diagnosing and treating long-term illnesses such as cardiac or endocrine diseases, geriatric care, and dentistry. She enjoys building relationships with her clients and ensuring the best quality of life for her patients.
When not practicing medicine at Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and their menagerie of pets including three dogs, a cat, two rabbits, seven lizards, two snakes, a chinchilla, two tarantulas, a frog, four turtles, and a tortoise! She is an avid gamer who enjoys classic board games, video games, reading, and watching movies.
